- Question: Do you Have Day Hunts?
No, we only do season leases.
- Question: Is there a charge for children or non hunting guests?
No, Children Under 16 years hunt free with a paid hunting parent. There are no charge for non hunting guests, but proper paper work must be completed.
- Question: What type of other activites are included with my paid lease?
If you have the dove & fishing package, you may fish at any of our 14 ponds. We also welcome camping or skeat shooting.
- Question: What type of paperwork must be filled out before I hunt?
ALL hunters, children, and non hunting guests must have the proper paperwork filled out and turned in before hunting. This includes release of liability, and hunting lease agreement.
- Question: May I bring alcohol/ beer onto the lease?
NO, If you do your lease will be terminated with no refund.
- Question: When does my lease expire?
If you have an dove & fishing package, at the conclusion of the spilt dove season that is schuduled to end in January 2012.
- Question: Is it OK to bring my hunting dog?
Sure! We love to see a good hunting dog at work.
- Question: Can I use a 4 Wheeler?
Yes, but you must use them on the edges of the fields. No driving across fields. Stay out of fields altogether on 4 wheelers and all other vehicles if they are muddy (Mud Picking up on tires)
- Question: Do you have a group discount?
Yes, Buy 10 spots and get one free.
- Question: How do I know where to hunt?
You may hunt in any fields that is on the maps we provide. That's why a tour of the lease is important for 1st time hunters. We have 2 farming operations. So you can hunt in the fields in the Van Alstyne area or Leonard area, or BOTH Places.
- Question: How big are your fields?
The size of the fields varies greatly. The smallest on is about 11 acres and the largest is over 600 acres.
- Question: Do I Have to "Check In" everytime I come up to hunt?
No, if you have the dove & fishing package.
- Question: Do you patrol and check hunters?
Yes we do, and also the game warden will patrol the area as well.
- Question: How do I go about getting a tour set up?
Please call or eMail. Tours are given on a 1st come basis on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of August. We give two seperate tours. One being for the Leonard Area and other the Van Alstyne/Howe area. We start tours at 8:00 AM and end at 6:00 PM. When you contact us for a tour, you need to have an idea on how many will be coming with you for the tour, so we won't overbook that slot.
- Question: Do You Allow Rifles?
No, not with the dove & fishing package.
- Question: Is there a good Motel & RV Park nearby?
Yes, but you better book early. It's always booked on opening weekend. In Leonard it's the 5 RIVERS MOTEL & RV PARK 903-587-5555
- Question: Do you allow camping on the lease?
Yes, we will be glad to help you find an area on the lease, but there are no hook-ups
- Question: Is there a gunshop nearby?
Yes, Richardsons Gun Shop is a full service gun shop that is located near many of the fields where you will be hunting. Vernon's phone number is 903-496-7747 and email is Vernon@Rguns.com

- 3:00 PM
- 5:00 PM
When you contact us for a tour, please have a idea how many will be taking the tour of the lease with you, so we will not over-book that time slot.
