All of us here at DJ Farms want to express our humble appreciation for all of you who have hunted with us in the past, for many of you it has been several seasons.  For Hunters that has never hunted with us, once you hunt with us you will be back next year.  You will have some of the most successful hunts you have ever had in north Texas, and you will be hunting in cut fields of grain such as wheat, corn, soybeans, wild areas of sunflowers, and pastures with plenty of water. Our commitment and goal is still the same to provide you with
a productive, safe, and a memorable hunting experience that stands above other dove leases.  This year you will be hunting on approximately 9,500 acres that we farm in Fannin, Grayson and Hunt Counties  north of Dallas.

SEASON INFO ~ NORTH ZONE

Doves (please report leg bands to 1-800-327-BAND): Migratory game bird stamp endorsement required to hunt any doves in any season. NOTE: There is no closed season or bag limit restrictions for Eurasian collared-doves or common pigeons (rock doves); however, it is recommended that plumage be left on these birds for identification purposes.

• North Zone:
  1. Regular Season: September 1-October 23, 2011 and December 23-January 8, 2012.
     • Daily Bag Limit: 15*
     • Possession Limit: 30
     • * In all zones, the daily bag limit can include no more than 2 white-tipped (white-fronted doves).  The possession limit on white-tipped is twice the daily bag limit

You will be hunting in fields of grain, and pastures with ponds that we actually farm...being approximately 9,500 acres.  You come and go in the fields that are on your hunting maps that we supply.  There is no placement of hunters.  You will have 50+  fields to hunt.   The lease is located in 3 counties, less than an hour drive north of downtown Dallas.

Good News! As harvest continues for us, more dove are moving into these cut fields of grain!  , which gives you approximately 9,500 acres of hunting! ~ Yes, It'S Dry BUT WE STILL HAVE WATER IN MOST OF THE PONDS!

At DJ Farms we like to keep things simple.  For 25 years we have been providing a full season of Dove Hunting.

• Season Leases For Dove Season & Fishing Only. (Sept.1 - until Dove Season is Over...Split Season).
• 2 Locations - 1 Lease & 1 Price ( Van Alstyne & Leonard Areas).
• Hunter's under the age of 16 years hunt free.
• Approximately 50 minutes from 635 & 75.
• Approximately 9,500 acres with 15 Ponds.  You will be huntings in fields of cut grain, areas of wild sunflowers, and pastures with plenty of ponds and goat weed.
• We do not place you in specific fields.  You are allowed to hunt in any of the fields that are on the maps we provide.
•  NEVER HUNTED WITH US BEFORE? We provide tours of the lease on all weekends during the month of August, which are by appointment. See "Contact Us" Page for Tour Times.
• Free BBQ Meal is included with door prizes for all paid hunter's.
