DJ Farms is one of the few true remaining farm operations left in north Texas. Back in the 1930's, our great-grandfather was a sharecropper farmer who came from Arkansas to Texas settling along a place we now call Preston Road. He picked cotton to make ends meet for his family. Through God's blessings and his diligent, hard work, he was able to start buying farm land when prices were as cheap as $275 per acre.
Our family farming operation has grown to over 12,000 acres in Fannin, Grayson, and Hunt Counties. While today a great deal of our operation is rented farmland, we still are proud to be a part of the dying breed of true pioneer American farmers.
With this background in mind, you, the dove hunter, will be hunting on land that is part of our farming operation. We are not an "out-fitter" that many of the dove leases consist of today. You will be hunting on a true Texas farming operation with newly harvested grain fields and pastures with numerous ponds.
We will work extremely hard for you to make your hunt successful in all aspects. This is our 38th year to offer one of the most successful dove hunting leases in north Texas, and we hope you will join us this year.
